Draft Day 2026

Draft Day is a mandatory event for all registered athletes. This is not a "cut" tryout, but a professional-grade evaluation to ensure every player is placed on the team that best fits their skill level and provides the best opportunity for growth.

What to Expect: Evaluation Stations

Athletes will rotate through specific drills designed to showcase their athletic foundation and sport-specific potential.

Catching Station: Evaluated on hand-eye coordination, ball security, and the ability to make catches in various positions.

Running Station: Focuses on pure speed (20/40 yard dash) and route-running precision.

Agility & Drill Station: Athletes will perform cone drills (L-Drill/Shuttle) to test change of direction, footwork, and reaction time.

Pre-Season Preparation

Once teams are selected, we hit the ground running to ensure our athletes are tournament-ready.

Warm-Up Games: Every team will participate in 2 pre-season exhibition games to build chemistry and learn the playbook under game conditions.

Tournament Schedule: Following the warm-up games, teams will enter their competitive phase with 2 tournaments scheduled, featuring 2 games at every event.

Important Reminders for Athletes

Registration Required: You must be fully registered at powerhousesportshtx.com to participate in Draft Day.

Attire: Wear athletic clothing and your preferred cleats (no metal).

Mindset: We are looking for dedicated Academy athletes. Show up early, stay focused, and bring the "Powerhouse" energy.

Our Goal: To evaluate the athlete today so we can build the champion of tomorrow.
